Letting Go

There was no pain, just a giddy unwinding,
There was no sound, there was only singing;
And a sweet impatience, and a heartful rendering
Of hope
Where are the nurses? Where is the doctor?
Where the window, the sun shone through?
There were no tears, there was only beauty;
There were no people, there was only love.
There was no language, but the word that shone before him,
That the light came from.
